British actor Tom Hollander, known for his role in “The White Lotus,” shared on Late Night with Seth Meyers that he accidentally received a seven-figure film bonus mistakenly intended for Spiderman star Tom Holland, BBC reports.
The mix-up occurred due to both actors briefly having the same agents, causing confusion in the accounts department. Hollander discovered the error while watching a friend perform in the theater and checking his emails during the interval. The unexpected seven-figure sum labeled as a “Box office bonus for The Avengers” belonged to Holland.
Despite the confusion, Hollander humorously acknowledged that, although he doesn’t visually resemble Holland, he often gets mistaken for him in non-visual contexts, leading to amusing encounters with utility companies and disappointed children.
