Taylor Swift has broken Elvis Presley’s long-standing record for the most weeks spent at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart as a solo artist, The Guardian reports.
Swift’s album “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” secured the top spot for a fifth time, bringing her total to 68 weeks, which surpasses Presley’s 67 weeks. This achievement places her second overall, behind the Beatles, who still lead with 132 weeks.
Swift’s achievement is notable for her decision to re-record her albums, preventing her former talent manager, Scooter Braun, from benefiting financially.
She also became the first living artist to have five albums in the Top 10 simultaneously, a record previously achieved by Prince posthumously. Swift also broke Barbra Streisand’s record for the female artist with the most No. 1 albums.
