Harrison Ford will play Marvel character General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the upcoming Phase 5 film ‘Captain America: New World Order’.
General Ross is a top-ranking military official first introduced in 1982, who went on to lead a team of anti-heroes known as the Thunderbolts.
Ford will star opposite Anthony Mackie, who will reprise his role as Sam Wilson, together with Shira Haas, Tim Blake Nelson and Carl Lumbly.
Directed by Julius Onah, screenplay by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, and produced by Marvel Studioe President Kevin Feige.
The role was previously played by Oscar winner William Hurt, who recently passed away in March of this year, aged 71.
