On Friday, Pixar announced at the D23 Expo, that director Kelsey Mann is working on the sequel "Inside Out 2," which is in early production and coming in summer 2024.
Released in 2015, the original "Inside Out" is set in a world where people's five core personified emotions — Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust — guide their daily lives.
The animated prequel will follow Riley as a teenager and feature new emotions, where Amy Poehler will be returning as Joy.
In 2016, "Inside Out" won best animated feature at the Oscars and was nominated for best original screenplay.
The movie made over $800 million at the box office worldwide.
