Apple, Disney, Other Media Companies Pause Advertising on X

Apple, Disney, and other major companies have paused their online advertising campaigns on X (formerly Twitter) after owner Elon Musk agreed with a social media post accusing “Jewish communities” of pushing “hatred against whites,” CNBC reports.

Other companies, including Warner Bros Discovery, Paramount Global, and Lions Gate Entertainment, have also suspended their campaigns on the social media platform.

The move comes after a report by Media Matters for America revealed that big companies, including Apple, IBM, Bravo, Oracle, and Infinity, had their online X ads displayed next to content promoting Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party.

A coalition of 163 Jewish leaders, activists, and academics representing both major political parties also issued a statement this week in response to Musk’s recent behavior, calling on businesses “to stop funding X through their ad spend.”
