Collins Jumaisi, a man arrested for allegedly killing multiple women and dumping their bodies in an old quarry in Nairobi, Kenya, has escaped from police custody, Reuters reports.
Jumaisi was arrested last month after at least six bodies were found in plastic bags at Kware quarry. Jumaisi, who reportedly confessed to killing 42 women, including his wife, escaped from Gigiri police station along with 12 Eritrean nationals. However, his lawyer claims the confession was obtained through torture, which prosecutors deny.
