YouTube Lets Creators Share Exclusive Shorts for Paying Subscribers

YouTube is introducing a new feature called Members Only Shorts, allowing creators to share short-form videos exclusively with paying subscribers, TechCrunch reports.

This new feature, marked with a star icon, aims to attract more subscribers by offering additional perks on top of existing membership benefits. Creators can use Members Only Shorts for various purposes like special announcements, Q&As, or behind-the-scenes content. Creators can schedule Shorts to become available to the public after a certain period, and YouTube encourages keeping these Shorts casual and organic.

YouTube also shared that Shorts receives over 70 billion daily views, with a significant portion of Partner Program channels monetizing their videos through revenue-sharing on Shorts.
