Ashton Kutcher has resigned as chairman of the board of Thorn, an anti-child sex abuse organization he co-founded, AP News reports.
The decision follows controversy surrounding letters he and his wife, Mila Kunis, wrote in support of their former co-star Danny Masterson, who was convicted of rape.
The letters drew public backlash, leading the couple to apologize for any harm caused to victims of sexual violence.
Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison after being convicted of raping two women in 2003.
