Sony is set to launch the PlayStation Portal, a handheld device that will stream PS5 games over Wi-Fi, The Verge reports.
The device features an eight-inch LCD screen with a 1080p resolution at 60fps and is priced at $199.99.
The PlayStation Portal is expected to have a battery life similar to the DualSense controller, around seven to nine hours.
It connects remotely to the PS5 over Wi-Fi, allowing players to seamlessly switch between their PS5 and the PlayStation Portal.
The system will use a new proprietary wireless technology for audio called PlayStation Link, with wireless headset and earbuds to be launched by Sony.
However, the device is currently not compatible with Sony’s cloud streaming for PS5 games that require a PS Plus Premium membership.
