Amber Heard Loses Bid to Dismiss $10 Million Defamation Suit Against Johnny Depp

US judge rejects Heard's motion seeking to have defamation verdict against her set aside, due to a mistaken identity with one of the jurors.
Heard's lawyers challenged the verdict on the basis that one of the seven jurors was never summoned for jury duty.

A 77-year-old county resident was issued a jury summons, but the man's son, who shares the same name and residence, replied and served in his place.

On Wednesday, Judge Penney Azcarate dismissed all of Heard's claims and said the juror issue was irrelevant and that Heard cannot show she was prejudiced.
Last month, ex-husband Johnny Depp won a $10 million defamation suit against Heard, while she won a $2 million on a counterclaim against Depp.
