On Wednesday, China announced new regulations on the live-streaming sector, raising the bar for influencers to talk about certain topics.
The new guidelines list 31 prohibited behaviors, requiring influencers to have relevant qualifications to discuss law, finance and medicine.
Authorities did not specify the qualifications needed.
New regulations prohibits publishing content that undermines or misrepresents the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, the socialist system, or the nation's reforms and opening-up.
This include using deepfake technologies of party or state leaders, to deliberately "hyping up" sensitive issues and attracting public attention.
Live-streamers are also no longer allowed to exhibit an extravagant lifestyle, such as displaying luxury products and cash.
