Russia has launched 367 drones and missiles across Ukraine, the largest aerial attack since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, killing at least 12 people, including three children, and injuring dozens.
Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Russia fired 69 missiles and 298 drones, many of them Iranian-designed Shahed models, targeting over 30 cities and regions, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi. Ukrainian air defenses reported successfully intercepting many of the incoming threats, but falling debris still caused fires, destruction, and loss of life.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attacks and renewed calls for stronger international action. He criticized what he described as the “silence” from the U.S. and other global powers, warning that without additional sanctions and pressure, Russian President Vladimir Putin would continue his campaign of destruction.
Meanwhile, Russia reported its own air defenses shot down over 110 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 12 aimed at Moscow. Russian authorities temporarily closed several Moscow airports due to the threat.
