Russia Launches Massive Drone Barrage on Ukraine, Largest Attack Yet

Russia launched its largest drone attack on Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, deploying 273 drones overnight into Sunday, surpassing the previous record of 267 drones launched in February.

The strikes hit multiple regions, including Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk, killing at least one woman and injuring several others, including a four-year-old child. Ukrainian air defenses reportedly intercepted 88 drones, while another 128 went off radar without causing known damage.

The attack comes after Russia and Ukraine held their first direct negotiations in over three years in Istanbul. The talks resulted in a prisoner exchange agreement, 1,000 from each side, but failed to yield progress toward a ceasefire.
