Gunmen Kill At Least 6 in Tel Aviv Shortly Before Iran Missile Attack

Two gunmen opened fire on passers-by after getting off a tram in Tel Aviv, killing at least six people and wounding nine others before being shot dead by Israeli security forces and an armed civilian, Reuters reports.

Israeli police have classified the incident as a terrorist attack, although no militant group has claimed responsibility. Israeli officials indicated the attackers were from Hebron in the West Bank, and there are calls for the deportation of their families and destruction of their homes.

The attack coincided with Iran launching missiles toward Israel, marking a significant escalation as tensions remain high following nearly a year of conflict in Gaza and ongoing hostilities with Hezbollah in Lebanon.
