The legal team representing accusers of former Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed, now works with 60 women, up from an initial 37, following a surge of responses after the announcement of a claim against Harrods, BBC reports.
Al Fayed, who died in 2023, has been accused of rape and sexual assault by former staff members, many of whom recently came forward after the BBC podcast and documentary “Al-Fayed: Predator at Harrods” aired. The group “Justice for Harrods Survivors” claims there is credible evidence of abuse not only at Harrods but also at other properties once owned by Al Fayed, including Fulham Football Club.
The current owners of Harrods, who were not involved at the time of the alleged incidents, are cooperating with claims and have already settled with many victims. Fulham Football Club is also investigating whether anyone at the club was affected by Al Fayed’s alleged actions.
