Ukrainian Drone Attack at Russian Arsenal Triggers Earthquake-Sized Blast

A large Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Tver region caused a massive explosion at a major ammunition depot, forcing the evacuation of nearby towns, Reuters reports.

The explosion, captured in unverified footage, showed a massive fireball and was detected by NASA satellites and earthquake monitoring stations. Experts estimated the blast involved 200-240 tons of explosives, raising questions about security at the fortified site. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky praised the operation, which reportedly destroyed missiles, bombs, and artillery.

Russian officials acknowledged the drone strike but downplayed the extent of the damage and no casualties were reported. The fire was eventually extinguished, and residents were allowed to return.
