A Russian drone and missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Lviv killed seven people, including four members of the same family, and injured 53 others, Reuters reports.
The victims included a man who lost his wife and three daughters, aged 7, 18, and 21. The attack damaged residential buildings and injured 53 others, including seven children. Ukraine’s air force intercepted several missiles and drones during the Lviv attack, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged allies for more air defense support.
The strike is part of a broader pattern of Russian attacks across Ukraine, which have intensified recently, targeting infrastructure and causing significant casualties. The Lviv attack followed Russia’s deadliest attack this year, which struck a military institute in Poltava, where 50 people were killed.
