Thai rescuers are searching through muddy, forested terrain for debris and the remains of nine people aboard a charter flight that crashed southeast of Bangkok, with all aboard presumed dead, Reuters reports.
The Cessna Caravan C208B, carrying five Chinese tourists and four Thais, including two pilots, went down 100 kilometers southeast of Bangkok shortly after takeoff. Authorities are struggling with difficult conditions as they dig up to 10 meters into the ground to retrieve human remains. The cause of the crash is under investigation, with rescue workers and forensic teams working to recover and reassemble the bodies.
