Internet personality Andrew Tate’s residence near Bucharest was raided by Romanian police as part of an investigation into serious crimes, including human trafficking and sex with a minor, Reuters reports.
Romania’s anti-organized crime unit DIICOT conducted four searches in Ilfov county and Bucharest, investigating several charges related to organized crime, trafficking minors, and money laundering. Tate’s representatives confirmed the raid and stated that the legal team is ensuring proper procedure.
Tate, a social media influencer known for his controversial views, was previously indicted in 2023 along with his brother Tristan and two Romanian women on charges of human trafficking, rape, and forming a criminal gang.
