Russia has launched another barrage of missiles against Ukraine’s two largest cities, Kyiv and Kharkiv, resulting in five deaths and injuring 127 people, Associated Press reports.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy claimed that Russia fired nearly 100 missiles, with at least 70 shot down. Ukrainian air defenses reportedly intercepted all 10 hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, the most Kinzhals used in one assault since the war began.
Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed the goal of the strike was achieved, hitting military industrial facilities and depots storing missiles and munitions in and around Kyiv.
The strike followed Russia’s largest aerial assault on Ukraine since the conflict began, resulting in at least 41 civilian deaths over the weekend.
