A student opened fire at Charles University in Prague, killing at least 14 people and injuring over 20 others, marking the worst mass shooting in the Czech Republic, Associated Press reports.
The incident occurred in the philosophy department building, with the shooter also found dead. Authorities suspect he also killed his father earlier in the day and was reportedly involved in another murder case in December.
The motive remains unclear, with no connection to extremist ideology. The Czech government declared a national day of mourning, and university security will be tightened.
