Britain’s King Charles Prays That COP28 is ‘Turning Point’ for the Climate

Britain’s King Charles expressed deep concern about the world being “dreadfully far off track” in addressing climate change at the COP28 UN climate summit, Reuters reports.

King Charles urged world leaders to view climate change as an immediate threat rather than a distant risk and expressed hope that COP28 would mark a critical turning point towards transformative action.

He emphasized the need to involve multilateral organizations, the private sector, the insurance sector, and to accelerate innovation in renewable energy to address climate challenges.

The King highlighted global climate impacts, such as floods in India and Pakistan and wildfires in the US, Canada, and Greece.
