Suicide bombings hit two mosques in Pakistan, killing at least 57 people and injuring dozens, during celebrations of the Prophet Mohammad’s birthday, Reuters reports.
A bomb detonated near a police vehicle outside Madina Mosque in Mastung, Balochistan province, killing at least 52 people and injuring 58.
A second attack occurred at a mosque in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing five people, with the roof collapsing and trapping 30 to 40 people under the rubble.
No group immediately claimed responsibility, but the Islamic State in Khorasan Province (ISKP) is suspected due to previous attacks on civilians and places of worship.
