Armenian Separatists in Karabakh Agree to Ceasefire

Azerbaijan has halted its military operations in the Nagorno-Karabakh region following a ceasefire with Armenian separatist forces, Reuters reports.

Under the agreement, separatist forces will disarm and disband, and talks on the future of the region will commence the following day.

Azerbaijan intends to integrate the 120,000 ethnic Armenians living in the Karabakh region while protecting their rights under the constitution.

However, some Armenians remain skeptical and have accused Azerbaijan of attempting ethnic cleansing.
