Britain’s Department for Education has instructed 156 British schools to close some of their buildings due to safety concerns, Reuters reports.
The affected schools were built using Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC), which is at risk of collapsing.
This decision has caused frustration among parents and teachers as it coincides with the start of the new term.
