Ukraine Launches Drone Strikes on Six Russian Regions

Ukraine has reportedly launched drone strikes against multiple targets in six Russian regions, including an attack on an airport in Pskov, Al Jazeera reports.

This marks one of the most significant drone attacks on Russian territory since the invasion of Ukraine.

The Russian defense ministry has confirmed it had intercepted drones over several regions including Pskov, Orlov, Bryansk, Ryazan, Kaluga and Moscow.

In Russia’s Pskov region, a fire broke out at an airfield where heavy military transport aircraft were stationed.

Russia retaliated with a missile and drone strike on Kyiv, causing casualties and described as one of the most major attacks in months.

Ukrainian air defenses successfully intercepted more than 20 missiles and drones involved in the attack.
