Former neonatal nurse Lucy Letby has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of seven babies and attempting to kill six others in the UK, AP News reports.
Letby’s crimes involved injecting air into intravenous lines, poisoning with insulin, and force-feeding others milk.
She targeted sick newborns in the neonatal unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital between June 2015 and June 2016.
She was sentenced to the harshest punishment possible under British law, which prohibits the death penalty.
