Social media platform X has reinstated artist Kanye “Ye” West’s account after it was suspended nearly eight months ago, Al Jazeera reports.
In December, Ye’s account was suspended for violating the platform’s rules on incitement to violence after he posted a swastika inside a Star of David.
The platform decided to reinstate the account after receiving assurances that Ye would not share harmful language, including anti-Semitic remarks.
However, the account will not be eligible for monetization, and advertisements will not appear alongside Ye’s posts.
Last year, Ye faced consequences for such remarks, losing business deals with companies like Adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga.
