Virgin Galactic Completes First Commercial Flight to Space

On Thursday, Virgin Galactic, founded by Sir Richard Branson, successfully completed its first commercial spaceflight, CNBC reports.

The flight carried four passengers, including a Virgin Galactic trainer and three paying customers from the Italian Air Force.

The successful flight marked the start of Virgin Galactic’s commercial service after years of delays and setbacks.

The company has a backlog of around 800 passengers who have purchased tickets priced between $200,000 and $450,000.
