On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the country has delivered its first tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus, Bloomberg reports.
Putin first announced the move in March and insisted that it did not break its non-proliferation obligations by retaining control of the weapons.
When asked about its potential use, Putin replied it would only happen if Russian statehood was threatened, but saw no such necessity now.
