On Friday, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced he is stepping down as a Tory PM with immediate effect, the BBC reports.
He said he is being forced out over Partygate and calls the committee investigating the matter a “kangaroo court,” who is out to get him.
The ex-PM is under investigation by the Commons Privileges Committee over Downing Street lockdown parties in 2020 and 2021.
