More Than 36,000 People Displaced by Floods in Italy

Floods in northeastern Italy have killed 14 people and forced 36,000 people to leave their homes, according to regional officials, France 24 reports.

The floods have submerged streets in cities and towns, caused over 305 landslides and damaged over 500 roads in the region.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni left the G7 meeting in Japan early to deal with the emergency.
