On Friday, Twitter dropped the heavily criticized “Government-funded” and “State-Affiliated” labels from various media accounts, Reuters reports.
Twitter has dropped the label from the National Public Radio (NPR) after it chose to leave the platform last week.
The social media platform also removed the tag from the Russian state-run RT and China’s Xinhua News.
