On Monday, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and European Commission President Ursula von Der Leyen announced that the EU and the UK have signed a new agreement regarding Northern Ireland.
Trade between the UK and Northern Ireland will go through a special “green file,” without heading into Ireland and the EU’s single market.
Sunak described the new “Windsor Framework” as “the beginning of a new chapter” in the relationship between the UK and the EU.
