On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a major speech at the annual state of the nation address, days before the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, according to DW.
“The responsibility for fueling the Ukrainian conflict, for its escalation, for the number of victims … lies completely with Western elites.”

In the two-hour speech, Putin claimed that the West was responsible for the Ukrainian conflict and vowed to continue the “special military operation”.
He also announced that Russia was suspending its participation in the New START nuclear disarmament treaty.
