German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius had hoped that more countries would send tanks to Ukraine after Germany pledged Leopard 2 tanks in late January, reports CNN.
However, he said that the tanks promised by Germany, the US and the UK “is a lot” and will strengthen Ukraine’s combat capabilities.
“I wasn’t really frustrated; I was a little bit disappointed, I would say, because the voices we heard before (the meeting at Ramstein) were louder. And therefore I expected more afterwards, after our decision”

On Friday, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz urged Western countries to send more “everyone who can supply such battle tanks should actually do so now”.
