On Sunday, at least 60 people have died after a ATR72 passenger plane crashed outside the city of Pokhara in Nepal.
“There are 68 passengers on board and four crew members … Rescue is underway, we don’t know right now if there are survivors.”

The aircraft was flying from the capital of Kathmandu to Pokhara, carrying 72 people, including 15 foreign nationals and four crew members.
Hundreds of rescue workers were searching the crash site for survivors, a gorge 1.6 km away from Pokhara International Airport.
Nepal is home to eight of the world’s 14 highest mountains, including Mt. Everest. The region is notoriously dangerous for air travel due to its hazardous weather conditions.
