On Monday, Europe’s crime agency Europol announced a massive drug network bust responsible for a third of the cocaine trade in Europe and arresting 49 suspects.
“The drugpins considered as high-value targets by Europol had come together to form what was known as a ‘super cartel’ which controlled around one third of the cocaine trade in Europe.”

Europol’s “Operation Desert Light” involved crime agencies from Spain, the US, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the UAE working together to track down the syndicate.
The operation arrested 49 suspects, including 6 of the most wanted traffickers, and seized over 30 metric tons of cocaine in six different countries.
