Amazon Workers Strike in 30 Countries on Black Friday in ‘Make Amazon Pay’ Campaign

On Black Friday, Amazon workers and activists in 30-plus countries are protesting to secure better working conditions across the globe.

“The pandemic has exposed how Amazon places profits ahead of workers, society, and our planet. Amazon takes too much and gives back too little. It is time to Make Amazon Pay.”

Make Amazon Pay is a coalition of 70 trade unions and organizations including Greenpeace, Oxfam, and Amazon Workers International.

The campaign wants Amazon to address workers’ concerns regarding competitive wages, safe working conditions, and carbon emissions.

Protests are planned in more than 30 countries, including the US, India, Germany, and Japan, according to Make Amazon Pay.
