Russia’s defense ministry claims that British naval ‘specialists’ are behind last month’s sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, UK rejects the accusations as Moscow ‘inventing stories’.
The Russian ministry alleged “British specialists” to be responsible for the Nord Stream sabotage, but also Saturday’s Ukrainian drone attack on the Russian Black Sea fleet.
Moscow did not provide any evidence for its allegation and the UK denied the accusation as a distraction from Russia’s military failures in Ukraine.
An investigation by Sweden and Denmark concludes that the four leaks on Nord Stream 1 and 2 were caused by explosions, who is responsible remains unclear.
