American rapper Ye, better known as Kanye West, has proposed to buy the social media platform Parler, popular among US conservatives.

In 2018, Parler launched as a free-speech platform for those looking for an alternative to social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, etc.
In January 2021, the platform was removed from the Google and Apple’s app stores following the US capitol riots, it has since been reinstated.
West was recently locked out of both his Instagram account and Twitter account, after posting anti-Semitic comments, violating the platform’s guidelines.
