Elon Musk says SpaceX cannot “indefinitely” fund the Starlink internet service in Ukraine, and has requested that Pentagon pays for the donations.
“SpaceX is not asking to recoup past expenses, but also cannot fund the existing system indefinitely and send several thousand more terminals that have data usage up to 100X greater than typical households. This is unreasonable.” Musk said on Twitter.

Musk claims that maintaining Starlink satellite services in Ukraine costs almost $20 million a month, so far SpaceX has spent $80 million.
Last month, SpaceX sent a letter to Pentagon saying it cannot continue to fund Starlink, asking the US military to step in, according to CNN.
In February, Musk activated Starlink in Ukraine after internet services were disrupted following Russia’s invasion of the country.
