Hugh Jackman is Back as Wolverine in ‘Deadpool 3’ with Ryan Reynolds, Coming in 2024
On Tuesday, Ryan Reynolds announced on Twitter that Hugh Jackman will be back as Wolverine in "Deadpool 3," and an official release date on Sept. 6, 2024.
Shawn Levy will direct "Deadpool 3," while Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who penned the first two "Deadpool" films, returns to write the third.
The last time Jackman portrayed Wolverine was in James Mangold's R-rated "Logan" from 2016, where Wolverine famously died at the end of the film.
The "Deadpool" movies released in 2016 and 2018, are the top-grossing "X-Men" titles of all time, each earning over $780 million worldwide.
