"The Lord of the Rings" actors Elijah Wood, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan came together on social media to show their support for the diverse casting of Amazon's new series.
On September 2, the first two episodes of "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" aired, receiving up to 25 million global viewers.
However, die-hard Tolkien fans have criticized the Amazon series and are upset by the casting of actors of color in prominent roles.
On Twitter, Wood, Boyd, and Monaghan appeared wearing t-shirts with illustrations of the ears of the inhabitants of Middle-earth in various skin tones, with "You Are All Welcome Here."
Wood provided a link to an online store where fans could buy their own t-shirts, as well as sweatshirt and other clothing items with the design on it.
The shirt in the image is selling for $22.00 and "50% of all proceeds will go to a charity that supports POC," according to the online store.
