Canada’s Largest Mobile and Internet Provider Suffered Massive Network Outage

On Friday, Canada's largest mobile and internet provider, Rogers Communications suffered a major outage.

The outage caused widespread disruptions across Canada, affecting banks, police emergency lines and customers.

The reason for the outage remains unknown, but is the second in 15 months.
Rogers is the top mobile service provider in Ontario, with about 10 million wireless subscribers and 2.25 million retail internet subscribers.

The firm along with BCE and Telus, dominates 90% of the Canadian market.
