According to a leaked internal memo, Amazon is in danger of exhausting its labor resources in the US.
The labor pools in the Phoenix, Arizona, metro area will be exhausted by the end of 2021, and in the Inland Empire region of California by the end of 2022.

Before the pandemic, Amazon lost around 3% of its workforce weekly, which results in a 150% staff turnover annually.
In contrast, the average turnover for transportation, warehousing, and utilities was 49% in 2021, while in retail was 64.6%.
With the unemployment rate close to a 50-year low, Amazon might have trouble filling all their positions in the near future.
