McDonald's withdrew from Russia following the invasion of Ukraine, selling more than 800 of its stores to Russian billionaire Alexander Govor.
Rebranded as "Vkusno i Tochka", which translates as "Tasty and that's it", the first restaurants are reopening in Moscow today.
The firm intends to reopen 200 restaurants in Russia by the end of June and all 850 by the end of the summer.
The logo of the Golden Arches has been replaced by a stylised letter M, made out of two French fries, and a dot (a burger?).
The Big Mac, as well as various other burgers and desserts, such as the McFlurry, were not available on Vkusno & Tochka's menu.
Russia and Ukraine accounted for about 9% of McDonald's global sales last year.
