Israel Strikes Main Airport in Yemen’s Capital Sanaa

Israel has launched a series of airstrikes against Houthi rebel targets in Yemen after the Iran-backed group fired a missile on Sunday that landed near Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport, disrupting flights and injuring six people.

The Israeli military responded first by bombing the Houthi-controlled port city of Hodeida, a vital entry point for food supplies into Yemen, on Monday. More than 20 fighter jets dropped over 50 munitions on facilities believed to be used for smuggling Iranian weapons. The Houthis reported that at least four people were killed and over 35 wounded.

Israel launched another strike on Tuesday, targeting Yemen’s main international airport in Sanaa, destroying runways, a military air base, and three civilian aircraft. Israel claimed the airport was used as a logistical hub for transferring weapons and personnel linked to the Houthis. The Houthis reported three dead and warned of further retaliation.
