A 15-year-old student fatally stabbed a fellow student and injured three others at Notre-Dame-de-Toutes-Aides High School in Nantes on Thursday, marking one of the deadliest school attacks in France in recent years.
The suspect, dressed in black and wearing a helmet and balaclava, reportedly entered two classrooms and attacked students during the lunch break. A female student was killed, and three boys were injured, with one in critical condition. Teachers intervened to subdue the attacker before police arrived, and two knives were found with his belongings.
Police say there is no indication of a terrorist motive. However, classmates alleged the attacker had previously spoken about Nazi ideology and sent a 20-page email with environmental concerns and anti-globalization themes to classmates before the incident.
