This comes amid a series of challenges for Tesla, including declining stock prices, plummeting sales in Europe, and controversy over Musk’s political affiliations and leadership decisions.
Tesla, the world’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has been facing a series of challenges, including a significant decline in sales in Europe, particularly in Germany, with figures showing a 76% year-on-year drop in February. Musk, who also serves as a close advisor to Trump, has seen Tesla’s stock tumble by over 30% since mid-December. His outspoken support for far-right groups, including the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, has only fueled the backlash.
Despite these setbacks, Trump praised Musk for his role in advocating for government efficiency, leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and his efforts to help “Make America Great Again.” Trump also criticized the political left, claiming that attempts to boycott Tesla are part of a coordinated effort to harm Musk.
